The Team at the last mile marker of Jimmy Fund Walk 2010!
Team Will McFarland/A Wish for Ashley strives to spread a message of love and hope through two efforts: fundraising for Dana Farber Cancer Institute and fulfilling holiday wishes for families in the Merrimack Valley.
Jimmy Fund Fundraising
Through the annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, Team Will McFarland/A Wish for Ashley has raised over $13,000 to support compassionate care and cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute since 2009. Every September, our team joins other cancer patients, survivors, families and friends on the Boston Marathon route in the hope that we can give other families the time and support that Dana Farber granted our uncle, brother and friend.
We hope that you'll register to walk with Team Will McFarland/A Wish for Ashley this September for Jimmy Fund Walk 2012. Our team will be represented on three different walk routes- the full 26.2-mile route, the half 13.1-mile route and the 5-mile walk route- so pick a comfortable distance for you! Holiday Sharing
Beginning every November, Team Will McFarland/A Wish for Ashley accepts donations of toys and gift cards and solicits information about families in the Merrimack Valley area who would benefit from having a wish granted. We seek to surprise families who need to be reminded that people care; no wish is too small and we try to make it happen even if it is big.
